4th of July to be celebrated in September

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The city of Grand Junction is finally getting around to celebrating the Fourth of July.

According to KREX-TV, the fireworks show is being held Sept. 2 because of a delay caused by wildfires.

Grand Junction is one of dozens of communities statewide that were forced to delay or cancel their fireworks displays because of tinder dry conditions and numerous wildfires.
