So far 38 people have gone to the old Grace Best Elementary School in Monument for shelter.

The shelter, at 66 Jefferson in Monument, was opened early this morning by the Red Cross.  The Red Cross is providing food and other comforts for those who may have to spend one night or even two, away from home.
