Pueblo County has already vaccinated more than 33,000 residents against the H1N1 swine flu. The vaccines were given at mass vaccination clinics, doctors offices and pharmacies.

"We are pleased with the number of people who have been vaccinated," stated Dr. Christine Nevin-Woods, Executive Director at the Pueblo City-County Health Department. "However, we want those who have not been vaccinated to understand the importance of getting the vaccine because the H1N1 influenza virus may return to Pueblo and the strength of the virus at that time is unknown. It is possible a third wave of this virus may come this spring."

No free clinics are planned in Pueblo County before the end of the year.

The following pharmacies currently have H1N1 flu vaccine:
• Walgreens
2900 W. Northern Avenue
1013 Bonforte Boulevard
Pueblo West
• Blende Drug
• Prescription Shop
• King Soopers (all in Pueblo)
• Safeway (all in Pueblo)
• Kmart (all in Pueblo)
