Early Saturday morning gun shots rang out in the parking lot of the Golden Cue Strip Club and Pool Hall. Police say the shooting occurred just after closing time around 2 a.m. "One of our officers was able to stop a car that looked like it was leaving quickly." explains Sgt. Mark Devorss with CSPD, "They did find one person with a gun shot wound in that car."
In all 3 men were shot, one in the leg and 2 in the stomach. Police believe it all began after a large parking lot brawl. The man shot in the leg is ok but the 2 shot in the stomach are listed in critical but stable condition. Police are still looking for suspects and no arrests have been made in the shooting. If you have any information on it you are urged to all Police.
The Golden Cue has been no stranger to police lights lately. "There's been some increase in calls there." says Devorss, "We've also had a stabbing there somewhat recently." On top of that our partners at the Gazette report that just last week the bar, which is advertised to Fort Carson Soldiers, was fined $1,000 for violating its city-issued sexually oriented business license. We did attempt to contact owner Steven Knost. He was unavailable for comment.
