DENVER (AP) - Authorities say three people were killed and another was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in southwest Denver.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says it appears the SUV involved was traveling at a high rate of speed at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
The driver, a male passenger and a female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth victim was taken to a hospital.
The names of the victims have not been released, and police are investigating if alcohol played a role in the crash.
