DENVER (AP) - Denver International Airport officials expect their travel costs this to year to be at least 43 percent more than last year.
The Denver Post reports that travel costs were almost $384,000 as of Friday. Aviation manager Kim Day says the costs are necessary to market the airport and lure new flights and growth.
Despite the increase in travel costs this year, The Denver Post reports that spending for executive travel is less than it was the year before Day arrived in 2008.
