Two people changing a tire on the side of I-70 near Limon were killed Saturday morning when a truck pulling a loaded horse trailer drifted into the shoulder and hit the people just before 6:30 that morning. The wreck was at milepost 363 in the westbound shoulder of the Interstate.

48-year-old Shun Jones of Carrollton, Texas and 38-year-old Amanda Omo-Iyamu of Balch Springs, Texas were both killed in the collision. An 18-year-old inside the car having its tire changed was uninjured.

Colorado State Patrol says the horse trailer stopped about half of a mile away from the accident. The truck's driver, 37-year-old Michel Martin of Sulphur, Louisiana, was uninjured in the crash; he was wearing his seatbelt. CSP says alcohol and drug used are not being considered as factors to the crash. Sergeant Mike Baker with CSP says charges against Martin are pending.
