Two men were sentenced today for their connection with a string of burglaries in El Paso County including the theft of an urn.
23 year old Jeremy Farr, who was described as the "ring leader" in court, was sentenced to 11 years in department of corrections. 35 year old Damon Brimer was sentenced to a total of nine years for his involvement.
While they're linked to several burglaries, their theft of an urn, was the most notable. Inside the urn were the remains of bob Herrle's wife Terry. The urn was eventually returned and Bob has since passed away.
Several victims of the burglaries appeared in court today, including Larry Bowin. He's not only a victim but also a good friend of Bob Herrle's, and the uncle of one of the thieves, "I do forgive them for what they did, but like I said in there, they have a consequence they need to pay," he said after sentencing.
Both Brimer and Farr blame their past drug habits for fueling the burglaries. In court they both expressed remorse and told the victims they're sorry.
