Two people in the trial of the drive-by shooting death of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams are in jail for refusing to testify.

Authorities say the two people were in the same vehicle as Willie Clark when he allegedly fired the fatal shots into a limousine Williams was in, killing him almost instantly on New Year's Day 2007.

Clark faces charges of first-degree murder, 16 counts of attempted murder and other charges. He says he is innocent. Police say the shooting happened after Williams and other football players got into an altercation at a Denver nightclub with another group that included Clark.

The people who refused to testify Wednesday will return to court every day of the trial and be given a chance to change their minds. If they don't, they'll be sent back to jail.
