2 feet of snow in the mountains, 40 degrees colder lower elevations

The past few storms have been pretty easy going but that all changes over the weekend. The central and San Juan mountains will get hit first, between friday and sunday morning 1 to 2 feet of snow will fall. Wind gusts to 45 mph will cause very dangerous travel over the high passes. In eastern Colorado the weekend will start windy, gusts to 45 mph saturday. A strong cold front moves in mid day saturday bringing much colder air. Snow flurries possible late saturday into sunday with no big accumulations for the lower elevations.
