Colorado State University says two house cats in Colorado have tested positive for swine flu. The university's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory said Friday that the cats are from different households.

Both have been sick for weeks but are expected to recover. One got sick Oct. 2 and the other got sick in early November.

Veterinarians suspect the cats were infected after a person in their homes contracted the virus.

There are three other confirmed cases around the country of swine flu in cats and five in ferrets.
