2 arrested after SWAT standoff in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Fort Collins police arrested two men accused of refusing to leave their home during a three-hour standoff with a SWAT Team.

Fort Collins police Sgt. Jon Holsten says SWAT officers used gas to force the men from the home Sunday morning. Police say they responded to the home to investigate allegations that one of the men had threatened a neighbor with a gun.

Holsten says that when officers arrived, the man who was suspected of being armed and others refused to leave the home or communicate with police.

Hosten says 22-year-old Joshua Scheer was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing and 21-year-old Devin Scheer faces charges of obstructing a peace officer and failing to leave upon request.
