140 Fort Carson soliders back home

Deafening cheers awaited 140 Fort Carson soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division Monday night at at the Special Events Center on the Mountain Post. These soldiers have been serving in Afghanistan for the past year.
During that time, they performed many duties: assisting with Afghanistan's national security, training members of the Aghanistan national police, helping police in the Nangarhar province ensure safe elections, and forming partnerships with local doctors to strengthen health care in a local village.
Over the next few weeks, the rest of the 4th BCT, 4th ID will be coming home.
