12 year old recovering after stabbing

Palmer Lake Police say a 12 year old stabbed another 12 year old after school, Tuesday afternoon. Investigators tell us the boys got into an argument near a bus stop at Palmer Lake Elementary. After words were exchanged, one of the boys allegedly stabbed the other multiple times in the neck and cheek. The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital and then transfered to Children's Hospital in Denver. The suspect is still being detainned and investigators tell us his parents have fully cooperated with authorities.
It is not clear what sparked the incident. Neither child's name is being released.
