Authorities in Colorado and Wyoming have arrested more than 100 people in a sex offender sweep this month.

The sweep called Operation Shepherd began on Oct. 22 and included law enforcement agencies in both states, as well as U.S. Marshals and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Officers conducted more than 2,000 compliance checks on registered sex offenders and looked for fugitives suspected of sex offenses.

Authorities say they've arrested 106 people so far for offenses that include failure to register as a sex offender, sex assault on a child, and parole violations.
