Pueblo police seized 100 kilos of cocaine Sunday morning during a traffic stop.
It happened on I-25 north of the city. The driver of the car was stopped for a lane change violation. The officer noticed the vehicle was a rental car from California and the driver had a revoked license.
The driver, Mark Bailey, 37, was arrested for Driving Under Suspension and No Insurance. The passenger 35-year-old Lisa Calderon was also acting nervous and had conflicting stories with Bailey, according to police. The officer also noticed their vehicle was sitting lower in the back than the front, so the K-9 unit was called to investigate.
In the back of the car, four black duffle bags were found containing a total of 100 kilos of cocaine. The estimated street value is $10 million.
Bailey and Calderon face charges of Possession of a Schedule 2 Substance.
