Gourmet sandwiches for a buck? Sounds too good to be true, but on Thursday, one Colorado Springs restaurant was offering the subs for $1.
Jimmy John's, on Powers and Stetson Hills, hosted its customer appreciation day today.
Hundreds flocked to the store, stood in extremely long lines, but the majority of the patrons seemed pretty happy to get their meal deal.
To speed things along staff were taking orders outside as people stood in line. Music blasted out front to also keep hungry people preoccupied.
"Ten minutes and we're almost to the door," says customer Jake Litell.
Some, however, had to wait twenty to thirty minutes for their sandwich deal.
The sandwiches that sold for $1 today normally run between $3.50 and $4.50. The bargain ran until 3 pm on Thursday.
