1 employee hurt in Ohio VA hospital shooting

A former employee of an Ohio veterans affairs hospital entered the facility today (Monday) and shot and wounded a worker.

The shooting happened at noon, in an employee breakroom at the V-A Medical Center in Dayton.

The alleged shooter, Neil Moore, worked at the hospital in housekeeping for 27 years until he retired last year.

Moore was arrested shortly after, when he went to a nearby hospital for psychiatric treatment.

The wounded man, who is also a housekeeping aide at the hospital, received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left leg.

Immediately after the shooting, the hospital was placed on full lock-down until police gave an "all-clear."
