    At least 10 structures are a total loss as of Tuesday evening as crews work to get a handle on the 117 Fire east of I-25 in the Hanover area. Evacuation orders remain in effect.

    The identities of two people found dead in their home in El Paso County have been released. Deputies were dispatched to the 13500 block of Hobby Horse Lane on a welfare check early Saturday morning. Upon arrival, sheriff's deputies found deceased individuals in the home.

    A fire burning in Eastern Baca County over the Western Kansas border is nearly 50,000 acres as of Wednesday afternoon. Fire officials updated the fire has burned 33,384 acres in Colorado and 15,026 in Kansas as of 4:00 p.m. The fire is believed to now be 85 percent contained.

    Many of the roughly 1,000 people evacuated Tuesday by the massive 117 Fire burning on the eastern plains of El Paso County were able to get a look at the damage Wednesday. The evacuations have not yet been lifted, but Sheriff Bill Elder said there are just too many access points for his properly control the flow of people coming and going.
