The Dallas Morning News reports that actor Larry Hagman has died at the age of 81. Hagman is best known for his role as J.R. Ewing on the show "Dallas." It was this week back in 1980 that 83 million people tuned in to find out "who shot J.R?" on the popular show.

Hagman's family says he died of complications due to a recent bout with cancer.
