The fire at the San Isabel National Forest is now contained.
Eight smoke jumpers went in last night, and found it was only a half acre big. They stayed through the night to monitor it, and will stay through the day.
There is hope that the fire is out by the end of the day.

A fire damages a home in the 600 block of Fairview early Saturday morning in the Woodland Park area. The fire broke out around 2 a.m. Extra crews were called in to put it out the blaze.

A three car crash has closed Westbound Airport Road between Academy Blvd. and Murray on the Springs South East side.
The alleged driver of a Chevy full sized pick-up reportedly ran away from the accident on foot.
Police ask drivers to avoid the area while they continue their investigation.
News 5 will bring you more details as we learn them.

The Bureau of Land Management will be monitoring a small fire in the San Isabel National Forest tonight.
Smoke jumpers parachuted in to fight the fire.
It is about three acres in size, and officials believe lightning is the cause of the fire.

UPDATE: Black Forest Fire remains at 5% containment Friday morning, El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa and Incident Commander Rich Harvey announced at a 9:00am press conference. Harvey said, "we gained something last night," however they're "not ready to quantify it."
