DENVER (KUSA) - Tom Tancredo announced Thursday morning that he is running for governor next year.
Tancredo ran as a third-party candidate against Governor John Hickenlooper three years ago. He's now back to being a Republican and will run under that party.
He will likely make his hard-line stance on immigration a centerpiece of his campaign: an issue he continues to write about in op-ed pieces.

The Boy Scouts of America is holding an important vote this morning.
At issue is whether to allow openly gay scouts.
More than 1,400 scout leaders from across the country will vote in a secret ballot.
They will not be voting to lift the ban on gay scout leaders.
The organization is holding its national annual meeting in Texas this week, and groups aligned with each side have been making their voices heard.

Accused mass shooter James Holmes will be back in court today for a routine motions hearing.
Holmes is charged with 166 counts of murder and attempted murder for the shooting at an Aurora movie theater last summer.
Yesterday a judge released search warrants in the case which show that Holmes received ammunition deliveries from online dealers on an almost daily basis in the weeks before the attack.
