Fire in Bent County 100% contained

Fire in Bent County 100% contained

The fire burning near the Fort Lyon Correctional Facility is 100% contained.

The Office of Emergency Management in Bent County where the fire was burning says no structures were lost in the fire that burned 120 acres.

The fire started just before 8pm Thursday night just east of the prison. For a brief time the fire did threaten the correctional facility.
