The cemetery at the Air Force Academy is being decorated with American flags for each grave. Volunteers put out the flags in preparation of Memorial Day.

Barricades are down and the owl family attracting crowds along Centennial Boulevard is now gone. There is now an empty nest and a few feathers on the ground. The Division of Parks and Wildlife moved them to a bird sanctuary. Curiosity was attracting so many people it was creating potential threats to the birds and people.

People wanting to see the owls nesting on Colorado Springs west side are putting themselves in danger causing traffic issues. They are standing in open traffic lanes trying for a better view. Police have had to send officers to get people out of the road. They are issuing citations.

***Update*** All lanes are now open.

Two southbound lanes of Interstate 25 are blocked near the pedestrian bridge just north of the Bijou exit. Tow trucks drivers and police officers are assisting the drivers and clearing up the mess. It's not clear whether there were any injuries. However, there are no ambulances are fire fighter paramedics on the scene.

COLORADO SPRINGS - Mayor Steve Bach offered condolences Wednesday to the families of the bombing attacks at the Boston Marathon. At his monthly media briefing, Mr. Bach said the tragedy points to the need for everyone to be more vigilant while at large community events.
The mayor said he was personally sending a letter to Boston Mayor Tom Menino offer support.
