General fired over alcohol, sex charges

Sailor from Pueblo receives Purple Heart

A sailor from Pueblo is awarded the Purple Heart.
Brandon Bernal, 26, was given the Purple Heart this past Friday.
He was assigned to a naval mobile construction battalion when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.
That happened back in August of 2010 in Afghanistan.
He received the Purple Heart for the injuries he sustained.
