CSPD is now on Accident Alert Status

The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Accident Alert status as of 4:30 PM Wednesday due to road conditions.
If you are involved in a traffic accident and no one is hurt, or drugs or alcohol involved you can exchange information and report it to any police department substations or drivers can go on line at Springsgov.com.
Colorado Springs police would like remind drivers to use streets and roadways less hazardous in winter driving conditions.

Several routes to Wyoming closed due to weather

Getting to Wyoming is going to be tough today.
I-25 is closed from Wellington to the Wyoming line as is Highway 287 between Fort Collins and Laramie, WY due to bad weather.

Car accident shuts down I-25 near Walsenberg

A car accident has shut down both directions of the interstate north of Walsenberg. Colorado State Patrol says the crash involves one vehicle, which is in the middle of the roadway blocking traffic. It is unknown at this time, if there are any injuries. I-25 is closed at mile marker 59-60.
