Disney says it is buying Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion in cash and stock from Star Wars creator George Lucas. In a statement announcing the deal Tuesday, Lucas says, "It's now time for me to pass 'Star Wars' on to a new generation of filmmakers."
Disney says we can expect to see Star Wars episode 7 in theaters in 2015.
