The Colorado Department of Agriculture is investigating a confirmed case of Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) in Douglas County.

A 19-year-old Denver man is charged with stealing and killing hamsters from a pet store where he worked.
William Riddick is due in court Friday to be advised of the charges.
A spokeswoman for the Jefferson County district attorney says Riddick is accused of stealing and killing hamsters from a PetsMart store in Westminster.
Store officials did not return a call Friday seeking comment.
