I-70 westbound through Limon, Colorado, remains closed tonight after a pileup involving nearly 12 semi trucks this morning. It all started when one semi caught fire. The other semi's crashed due to icy conditions.

The Colorado State Patrol say's excessive speed and icy conditions caused a woman to dump her car in Fountain creek. Shortly after five, Highway 24 east of Waldo Canyon shut down to one lane for a time so crews could get the car out. The driver suffered only a broken fingernail.

A semi-trailer truck was blown over by high winds near Monument this morning.
Winds of nearly 80 miles an hour have been recorded on our WeatherBug sensor in Monument. High winds are a problem from Castle Rock to Colorado Springs and from Pueblo to Walsenburg.
I-25 was back open by about 1:15 p.m.

Colorado State Patrol is working on a multiple accidents on I-25 at mile marker 124. A truck rolled over and there is now a secondary accident. Both are off the roadway, but traffic is still backing up. Mile marker 124 is between Fountain and Pueblo just north of PPIR.

There has been a fatal accident on the corner of Picturesque and Carefree. Two women and a baby in a stroller were crossing the street when they were struck by a white SUV. Both women have died, but the baby is expected to be okay. Residents say accidents on this corner are a common occurrence.

BUTLER, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a northern New Jersey woman was seriously burned when she accidentally ignited her hair while trying to light a cigarette.
The 64-year-old Butler resident was in her apartment Saturday afternoon when her hair caught fire. She has severe burns on her forehead, face and neck and was flown to a hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
Authorities are investigating.

Shelf Road, also known as Red Canyon Road, is closed south of Cripple Creek after a rollover crash.
The Teller County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at about 7 this morning. The accident reportedly happened after a domestic incident in Cripple Creek. The driver turned himself in, and it doesn't appear there were any serious injuries. The accident and domestic situation are under investigation by the Cripple Creek Police Department.

A burning semi-trailer rig shut down I-25 south of Pueblo this morning for a couple of hours. The truck hit a guard rail, ripped open a gas tank and caught on fire, ending up off the side of the road.
And then it burned up. Thick black smoke was visible for miles. (More)
