UPDATE: All lanes open at Powers/Old Ranch Rd.

UPDATE: Police say westbound Old Ranch Rd. from Thunder Mountain is now open, and eastbound Old Ranch Rd. at Powers is now open as well after a fatal crash closed the intersection for several hours.

A car crashed into a light pole and caught on fire at around 3:30 AM.

The driver was taken to a hospital and later died.

The CSPD Major Accident Unit is investigating the fatal crash.

Teen seriously hurt in rollover near Calhan

A teenager suffered serious injuries this afternoon in a single vehicle rollover near Calhan. The State Patrol says 16 year old Keyten Gilbert rolled his car on Scott Road, near the Calhan Highway.

He was not wearing a seatbelt. Gilbert was flown to Colorado Springs for treatment.

Investigators believe reckless driving and driver inexperience are to blame for the crash.

I-25 SB has reopened

I-25 SB has reopened

SB I-25 has reopened north of County Line Road after a serious rollover crash.

Flight for Life was called in to transport the patient and State Patrol is on scene investigating.

3 injured after crash, shooting at Fort Carson
