Low pressure is spiraling over the western Great Lakes. That's a long way away, but it will play a role in our weather today. A cold front pivoting around the low pressure circulation will swing southward from Montana and Wyoming and right across Colorado today. As it tracks southward through Colorado this afternoon, it will help to trigger showers and thunderstorms. The upslope wind behind the cold front will bring increasing showers and thunderstorms after the cold front passes.
