    More than 1,000 sea turtles stunned by unusually cold weather have been rescued from waters off Florida's Panhandle this month. U.S. Geological Survey sea turtle expert Margaret Lamont said cold-stunned sea turtles began appearing in St. Joseph Bay in early January as freezing temperatures gripped the region and water temperature in the Gulf of Mexico plummeted.

    Tom Petty's family says his death last year was due to an accidental drug overdose.    His wife and daughter released the results of Petty's autopsy via a statement on his Facebook page Friday night. Dana and Adria Petty say they got the results from the coroner's office earlier in the day that the overdose was caused due to a variety of medications.

Police said that around 7 p.m. Wednesday night, a male suspect entered a business in the 3300 block of E. Fountain Blvd, pulled a hand gun and demanded cash. He then left the area with an undetermined amount of cash. Around 10 p.m., the suspect's vehicle was spotted and officers attempted to make a traffic stop.

    A Michigan judge has heard from two Olympic gymnasts during a third day of gripping statements from young women who were sexually abused by a sports doctor.    A prosecutor read a statement from McKayla Maroney, who won gold and silver medals at the 2012 Olympics. She says Larry Nassar "left scars on (her) psyche that may never go away."

Police said the investigation revealed a food delivery employee arrived in that area and was instantly confronted by two men, one of which had a small gun.
