Denver tops Frommer's list of destinations in 2008

Denver will host the Democratic National Convention later this year, bringing thousands of delegates, their families and members of the media to Colorado's capital. But even more people may be drawn to our state by popular travel web site Frommers. Its editors have selected Denver as the top site in the United States to visit this year.
Frommers editors singled out 13 places around the world to highlight. Denver's in some impressive company -- St. Lucia in the Caribbean; Kosrae, Micronesia in the South Pacific; and Seoul, South Korea in the far east.
The web site spotlights Denver's attributes including it arts scene, bike trails, access to the mountains, even the annual Great American Beer Festival.
