Alaska Airlines has resumed operations in Alaska and major West Coast cities after scrapping 44 flights because of a rising cloud of ash resulting from a volcano eruption last week.
The carrier says it canceled flights between Alaska and at least seven cities, including Denver.
The airline says it's continuing to monitor the ash pattern from the Kasatochi volcano in the Aleutians. Alaska Airlines said it is attempting to reschedule passengers on the affected flights.
