Who wouldn't love an opportunity to give her mother a makeover?  Good Housekeeping just helped a few daughters do this for their moms. Beauty editor, Alyssa  Hertzig says, "we all love our moms, but there's always a few things we kind of wish they'd change.  So we helped them do that with Edward Tricomi and Joel Warren from the Warren-Tricomi salon in New York City and Laura Geller who is a celebrity make-up artist."

One daughter says her mother had zero time for a beauty routine.  She says, "I've been trying to get my mom to do something with her hair.  Some little color in her face.  She's such a beautiful woman."  Hertzig says,  "Nilma had very, very long hair so we cut about four inches off.  We added lots of layers, which made it look a lot more beautiful and it just felt so much lighter.  You could just tell immediately she felt great with that hair cut." Nilma says, "I love the fact that my hair looks and feels light.  I could actually go all day like this."

Donna Bernesser's daughter wanted to remove her mother's dark circles around her eyes. Hertzig says, "Laura Geller used this fantastic concealer.  It's called creaseless concealer and that took years off right there, which was great.  Then we enhanced her eyes with a very thin line of brown liquid liner.  One that we really like is physicians formula felt-tipped eye marker and its got this kind of little marker end so you can get a really fine tip and go as subtle or dramatic as you want."  The eye definer costs $7.00. Donna really enjoyed the gift.
