Homeopathic medicine as a treatment for prostate cancer

Holistic medicine has been around for thousands of years. Homeopathy is a therapy based on the concept that disease can be treated with drugs, in small doses, thought capable of producing the same symptoms in healthy people as the disease itself.
When Albert Baker, 86, walked into Ohio Holistic Medicine his battle with prostate cancer looked grim. The cancer had spread to his bones and radiation treatment caused internal bleeding. He hoped a homeopathic remedy would be a boost to his traditional treatment.
Dr. Leonard Torok is an orthopedic surgeon and homeopathic physician. He says homeopathic medicines have been around for 200 years. They're off patent and made from natural products. The pharmaceutical process makes a large amount of medication from a very small amount of material.
Albert's exam required no testing, poking or prodding. "Rather than treat his disease, we tried to treat the cause of his disease, and if you can correct the disease at its cause you can remove the disease," explained Dr. Torok.
The exam is a two hour conversation. "We talked about my whole lifetime, all my worries. He had a complete picture of me in that two hours. From that information he gave me medication that cured me," Albert said. As for cost, the medication was under $50 and a year and a half of treatment, including visits, was under $1000.
Albert is still being treated with modern medicine, but says his doctors are amazed at his recovery. He believes the homeopathic medication got rid of his cancer.
