Lip gloss could increase your chances of cancer

Lip gloss is a staple of just about every woman's makeup bag, but don't be fooled into thinking it protects your lips from the sun. Some experts are saying lip gloss may actually increase your risk of lip cancer, because shine doesn't repel the sun -- it actually attracts it.
"Your lips are basically sizzling under the sun and that's a great environment for cancer cells to grow," explained dermatologist Dr. Simon Ourian.
Most glosses don't contain any sun protection at all; even if they do, when the greasy solution mixes with saliva, it makes lips even more vulnerable to the sun.
Lipstick is really better than gloss, and you should try to add SPF 30 to any gloss.
No studies prove a direct link between lip gloss and cancer, but experts say it might be better to be safe than sorry.
