Organic blankets gaining a niche

It's one thing to eat organic. It's another thing to cuddle with it. Robbie Mahlman and Susan Davis are behind the latest line of luxury baby items.
"We just always sat down together and said is there something we can be doing that lets us to be a little more creative and something we can do where all the energy we put into our jobs, we could transfer into something that was ours," Davis explained.
The friends left careers in real estate to wrap themselves in entrepreneurship. They launched Robbie Adrian Organic Cotton Baby Blankets to attract customers who want to go cute while while going green.
A few months later, Robbie Adrian is online and in high end baby boutiques. "My headquarters is in my house, my den down in Sacramento. World headquarters is here in Robbie's house," said Davis.
Getting a product from your head to store shelves is not easy. Robbie Adrian blankets are making it into kids' boutiques thanks to eight hours a day of cold calls.
It's hard work that's paying dividends neither woman expected. "My marriage is better. My kids are happier. And, I'm able to do some thing I enjoy," said Mahlman.
