A University of Colorado-based team of climate and policy experts is asking the next president to lead a massive effort to reverse global warming. The group claims climate change is an economic and national security issue as well as an environmental one.
The Presidential Climate Action Project issued more than 100 recommendations Tuesday for the next president to undertake in his or her first 100 days. The group says its plan is nonpartisan, bold and comprehensive. Members of the group say they have been in touch with each presidential campaign about the issues.
The group includes members representing government, private industry and nonprofit organizations.
