Friday, a somber milestone is marked--the one year anniversary of the Holly tornado. The F4 monster was as wide as two football fields and roared right through the heart of town.
The mayor of Holly has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Friday. A memorial service is scheduled in the evening for Rosemary Rosales, 28, and Deloris Burns, 76, who died from their injuries after the tornado struck.
Dozens of homes were destroyed or damaged. Holly has about 1,000 residents and is 190 miles southeast of Denver on the Colorado-Kansas border.
News First has a crew in Holly on Friday, and will report via News First SatLink.
