Small plane makes emergency landing on Schriever AFB

A small plane made an emergency landing within the perimeter of Schriever Air Force Base, Friday, east of Colorado Springs. According to El Paso County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lieutenant Lari Sevene, the first reports of the landing came in at around 7:20 pm. Crews, however, weren't able to locate the plane until 8:10 pm.

Four people aboard the plane were reportedly not injured in the landing and the plane was not damaged. Lt. Sevene says they all refused medical treatment. Colorado State Patrol and Schriever Air Force Base are now investigating the incident. There's no word yet on what caused the emergency landing.
