The national headquarters of Delta Chi Fraternity has suspended the University of Colorado-Boulder chapter following the weekend arrests of 10 pledges in Estes Park.
The pledges were arrested early Sunday on suspicion of underage drinking and felony criminal mischief. A police report says officers were called to a Super 8 Motel about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, and found destroyed furniture in two adjoining rooms, large holes in the walls, blood and vomit throughout, and a coffee pot full of urine. The pledges arrested are all between the ages of 18 and 20.
Delta Chi assistant executive director Karl Grindel says a representative of the Iowa City, Iowa-based fraternity is expected to arrive in Boulder on Tuesday to investigate.
