Did you buy a Powerball ticket for Wednesday's drawing? Write down these numbers--because someone out there is $1 million richer.
The Colorado Lottery reported Thursday that one ticket worth $1 million was sold at Black Forest Liquor Store in Black Forest. Is your heart racing? Here are the winning numbers: 7, 14, 33, 40, 55. The powerball is 15 and the multiplier is 5. The winning ticket in Black Forest has the first five numbers correct, plus the winner purchased the multiplier.
A Powerball ticket sold in Kentucky won the jackpot of $33.6 million. That person matched all six of the numbers drawn. The jackpot will revert to the minimum of $15 million for Saturday's drawing.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001. It's now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
