If you want to start a small business in Southern Colorado, Pueblo is the spot. Inc. Magazine announced this week its annual ranking of the best cities for doing business.
On the list of small cities, Pueblo jumped 50 places, to occupy the number 40 slot.
Ahead of Pueblo on the list of small cities:
9. Grand Junction
18. Greeley
31. Fort Collins
In medium cities, Colorado Springs made the list at 41. On the overall list, Colorado Springs came in at 151. On the same overall list, Pueblo was ranked 70.
Inc. calls itself the "daily resource for entrepreneurs." The annual list takes into account short-term and long-term job growth, as well as overall momentum - good places to start or expand a small business. This year, the list was dominated by cities in Texas, the Carolinas and the mountain west, with Florida and California cooling off.
