Democrats say Barack Obama will accept his party's presidential nomination before up to 76,000 people at the Denver Broncos' football stadium. Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean says the final night of the convention will be held at Invesco Field at Mile High, instead of the smaller Pepsi Center -- which can accommodate 21,000 people.
Democrats say a block of "community" credentials will be reserved for Colorado residents for Obama's August 28th speech at the football stadium. They haven't said how many of those credentials will be released or how they will be distributed.
Convention chairwoman Leah Daughtry says Democrats are making good on their promise for an open convention. The event begins August 25th.
