Residents of about 250 homes in in the Paint Pony Subdivision of Teller County have been ordered to boil their water before using it because of contamination. The water in Woodland Park is safe.
Residents of Teller County Water and Sanitation District 1, operated by H2O Solutions, are receiving both phone calls and written, hand-delivered notice of the contamination. The contamination was caused by rodents, but detailed information is not known at this time. No businesses are affected.
The City of Woodland Park will provide water to the affected area until the contaminated system can be cleaned up. Woodland Park's water system will be protected from cross contamination.
