All of the people injured in Wednesday's head-on collision are improving, and none are deemed critical. As for the wrong-way driver, he'll be charged with a slew of crimes when he's released from the hospital.
The crash closed southbound I-25 at Garden of the Gods for about four hours, including the evening rush hour. Colorado Springs Police said Frank White, caused the crash by driving his van northbound in the southbound lanes. He is still at Penrose Hospital for observation and evaluation. Once released, White will be charged with First Degree Assault, Vehicular Assault, Reckless Driving and Compulsory Insurance.
The other patients were treated for cuts and bruises.
