Rescue divers prepare for spring thaw

Rescue divers are getting ready for the spring thaw--they're especially concerned about swift water rescues this year because of a heavy snow pack. The Colorado Springs Fire Department's heavy rescue team practiced open water diving on Wednesday.
"We understand that our snowpack is anywhere between 110 and 120%. And if we get some exceptional rains through March, April, May, ...we could have more run off than we typically need, which creates flooding. And our concern there is just the swift water moving through the city." The team begins swift water training next month.
