Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden has wasted no time going after the opposition.
Moments after he was nominated by acclamation, Biden told delegates at the Democratic National Convention that the nation requires "more than a good soldier" in the White House. He said Barack Obama is a wise leader who can deliver the change the nation needs.
Biden's acceptance speech also focused on the troubles he said have developed over the past eight years. He told the Denver gathering, "That's the America that George Bush has left us, and
that's the future John McCain will give us."
