Keeping families in their homes this Christmas

Lines form hours before the doors even open at a Springs non-profit. Northern Churches Care, which is working to keep families in their homes for Christmas, says their seeing a greater need for their help this year.
"We just really want to ensure that they are able to receive the assistance they need to continue to provide for their families, stay in their home and be taken care of." said Kristen Mcgee, development director at Northern Churches Care.
They provide emergency crisis support. Among other services, they help families pay rent, preventing homelessness. Their goal is to assist 160 families this holiday season and so far, they've taken care of 70.
